About The Position

The Trimmer uses hand tools or hand-held power tools to cut and trim a variety of manufactured composite parts. This is an Entry/Junior level individual contributor, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Requires little or no prior experience and no more than a few months of training that is often received while on the job. Has little or no autonomy and works under close supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level over time.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand detailed instructions.
  • Excellent eye and hand coordination.
  • Skilled in the use of pneumatic router and drills motors.
  • Ability to utilize measuring equipment, including scales and calipers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Composite manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Composite training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Trim and deburr fabricated components using pneumatic power tools.
  • Sign off on all work performed, reporting all production discrepancies and schedule concerns to supervisor.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment or supplies; promoting safety in the workplace.
