About The Position

The Tribal Gaming Agent (TGA) I is a mid-level position responsible for the on-site regulation of the Colville Gaming LLC. This role ensures compliance with the Tribal/State Compact and Colville Tribal Code 6-5 (Gaming), implementing all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies. The TGA conducts compliance audits and investigations of alleged code violations and unethical or illegal acts by employees, managers, patrons, and others to protect the Tribes and the gaming public. The primary goal is to maintain the honesty, fairness, integrity, and security of the gaming operation. Tribal Gaming Agents are responsible for reporting on compliance issues within the Colville Gaming LLC operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • An associate degree in law enforcement or accounting or closely related field; OR 24 months of combined work experience/training/education within the gaming industry, law enforcement, or accounting field; OR 36 months of progressive responsible clerical accounting, bookkeeping, or closely related experience.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid driver’s license and eligibility for the Tribe’s vehicle insurance.
  • Must be qualified and suitable for a tribal gaming license under Tribal, State, and Federal requirements.
  • Completion of a Tribal gaming license application by the deadline.
  • Proficient knowledge of Class II and Class III gaming regulations and rules under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC), the CCT Tribal/State Compact, and the Colville Tribal Gaming Commission (CTGC).
  • Basic network navigation, and general office practices and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of computers and skills using Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Ability to analyze and research various data, identification or sensitive applications, and problem areas.
  • Ability to carry out assignments discreetly, effectively, and efficiently in sensitive, confidential circumstances.
  • Ability to be motivated and work independently, be detail-oriented (written and oral), and have a consistent above-average work attendance record.
  • Ability to relay recommendations, and give effective presentations and/or responses to questions from managers, patrons, employees, or the general public.
  • Ability to communicate to management verbally or in written form.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to the ongoing changes of the organization.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to write grammatically correct reports and other documentation.
  • Ability to use near vision to write and to read printed materials and computer screens.
  • Ability to hear and speak for ordinary and telephonic conversation and to hear sound prompts from equipment.
  • Ambulatory ability to sit, often for long periods of time, move about Tribal locations, and to reach work materials.
  • Manual and finger dexterity to type/keyboard at an acceptable rate and/or operate mouse and/or otherwise operate a microcomputer and other equipment.
  • Visual acuity to read printed materials and computer screens.
  • High level of observatory skills.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Possible Trainee Position: Employee Training Plan would need to be completed (CCT Salary Policy and Salary Appendix A, Resolution 2015-153).
  • Basic knowledge of Table Games and Rules of Play offered in Gaming facility.
  • Knowledge of all CTGC Checklists, audit tools and Gaming System Checklist and completion of reviews and or audits.
  • Knowledge of Colville Gaming Casino’s surveillance and security operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct compliance audits, including investigations of known or alleged code violations and unethical or illegal acts of employees, managers, patrons, and others.
  • Ensure all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Verify that the gaming operator meets all compliance requirements.
  • Report on compliance issues of employees, managers, and supervisors of the Colville Gaming LLC operations.
  • Document events witnessed throughout each shift via data entry, word processing, maintaining spreadsheets, performing information searches, and email.
  • Maintain records, files, and compile routine information for reports in pre-determined formats.
  • Review data from multiple resources to identify and flag possible theft, embezzlement, or system deficiencies.
  • Track multiple incidents involving multiple parties and follow up to ensure resolution.
