About The Position

Morgan & Morgan is seeking a General Liability Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice in St. Louis, Missouri. The attorney will represent plaintiffs and handle primarily general liability accident cases in litigation, including trial preparation and trial. The firm says its attorneys are expected and required to gain trial experience and frequent courtroom exposure, and provides case docket management software and litigation resources to support case development.

Requirements

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Missouri.
• Ability to manage a high volume of litigation cases.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Nice To Haves

• Illinois Bar license.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation cases on a day-to-day basis.
• Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, demands, motions, and memoranda.
• Guide clients through the case process.
• Interact with expert witnesses, including through conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in trials.
