About The Position

Responsible for patient care and support within the outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment. The Elfers Cardiovascular Center is comprised of 3 locations. They are located on the Newton-Wellesley Hospital main campus (2014 Washington Street, 2nd floor, in Newton, MA), 300 Boylston Street on Chestnut Hill, and on 1450 Highland Ave. in Needham. Our team provides a wide range of outpatient care for patients who have a high risk of heart disease. We provide diagnosis, management of acute and chronic conditions, and preventive care. We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Hybrid Triage RN to support our Cardiology practices in Chestnut Hill and Needham. This role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, and offers a hybrid work arrangement with 3 remote days per week and 2 onsite days at either our Chestnut Hill or Needham location. Primarily focused on phone triage, the RN will handle patient interactions via telephone and provide guidance in accordance with guidelines/protocols - all within a clinically appropriate scope. As the majority of this role is telephone and Internet/EMR based, the triage RN will work with all patients and clinicians of the entire practice regardless of the location in which the providers see the patient's.

Requirements

Associate's Degree Nursing required
Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Various Issuers preferred
Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care and support, ensuring high nursing standards.
Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
