About The Position

The Triage Coordinator assists with organ-screening support for Paragonix transplant partners. The coordinator screens donor offers received from the OPTN provider, provides an initial response, and notifies transplant coordinators in accordance with OPTN guidelines and Paragonix/Transplant Advocate policies and protocols. The role is open to US-based candidates and includes a 12-hour call shift during which the coordinator must be reachable by telephone within five minutes.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Established history working in a high-stress, customer-interacting field.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in health science, general science, or equivalent experience in a transplant-related field.

Responsibilities

• Screen offers from the OPTN contractor according to transplant center criteria and OPTN policy within the assigned area.
• Maintain required training and credentials for Paragonix and OPTN computer systems.
• Communicate clear, concise, and pertinent clinical information to internal and external staff.
• Remain reachable by telephone within five minutes during assigned 12-hour call shifts.
• Provide customer service and communicate with transplant center recipients and family members.
• Document transplant center responses in the OPTN computer system according to established automatic rule-out criteria.
• Serve as the primary contact for OPO communication during the screening process.
