Tree Climbing Trainee | North Cincinnati (Milford)
About The Position
This position involves learning to climb trees and operate as a member of a tree crew. The trainee will progressively learn new skills and how to perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients. This includes tree identification, industry pruning guidelines, pruning and removing deadwood, installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems, assisting in the removal of hazardous trees, and properly maintaining and operating tools and equipment like chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. The role offers opportunities for growth based on individual performance.
Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
Responsibilities
