Experienced Tree Climber | North Cincinnati (Milford)
About The Position
Trim and remove trees, remove unwanted, diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas. This role involves operating as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader, performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients. The job includes pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy, installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems, and removal of hazardous trees. The position requires proper maintenance, preparation, and operation of all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. The company emphasizes being part of a progressive greenspace stewardship team.
Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
Responsibilities
- Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
- Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
