About The Position

Joshua Tree Experts is seeking an experienced Tree Climber to join its tree care team in Richmond. The Tree Climber works alongside a 2- to 4-person tree crew and assists with tree removal, pruning, and tree preservation. This role supports safe tree operations, maintains assigned equipment, and communicates effectively with the crew, clients, and members of the public near job sites. The position requires availability to work at least 40 hours per week and an understanding of aerial lift operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 4 years of tree-climbing experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability to work at least 40 hours per week.
• Understanding of aerial lift operations.

Nice To Haves

• Forestry or horticulture degree.
• ISA Certified Arborist.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tree removal, pruning, and general tree preservation.
• Help ensure safe tree operations and follow the company’s safety culture.
• Communicate effectively with the crew leader, coworkers, clients, and the public near job sites.
• Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer service.
• Delegate work to the Groundman Operations Specialist.
• Maintain the vehicle and assigned equipment.
• Understand and follow ANSI standards for Tree Care Operations.
