About The Position

This role involves climbing trees using specialized equipment safely and efficiently, as well as operating a spider lift to maneuver around tree limbs for optimal trimming and removal. The position requires the use of rigging knots for safe lowering of limbs and ensuring all personnel adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines. Additionally, the role includes monitoring equipment and reporting any maintenance needs to management.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience climbing and/or operating a spider lift
• Ability to carry at least 50 pounds
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions
• Have a good attitude towards others

Responsibilities

• Climbing trees using climbing equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to maneuver a spider lift in tight areas and move in the air around limbs to make optimal cuts for trims and removals
• Skill to use rigging knots to safely lower limbs away from obstructions
• Make sure yourself and others are wearing their PPE
• Keep track of the equipment you are operating & alert management to anything that needs to be fixed or replaced
