About The Position

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Bureau of Woodward Resource Center (WRC) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Treatment Program Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time position with a non-fixed, variable schedule. This is an opportunity to support intellectually disabled individuals in community-based homes.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of organizational structure, functions, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements of the organization.
  • Adherence to all Federal, State, Department of Health and Human Services, and WRC regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement detailed written and/or oral instructions, policies, methods, and procedures.
  • Ability to work as a liaison between parents, guardians, families, and the IDT.
  • Ability to build, foster, and maintain partnerships at a variety of levels.
  • Ability to teach, instruct, and lead in the implementation of various therapeutic procedures and practices.
  • Applicants will be required to complete a background check to be considered for this position.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university and experience equal to four years of full-time professional-level work in a treatment or habilitation program for correctional inmates, delinquent, disadvantaged, mentally or emotionally ill, or intellectually disabled, two years of which were at the administrative, consultive, advanced professional, or supervisory level; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting thirty semester hours of graduate level course work in the administrative sciences (e.g., business administration), social/behavioral sciences, or health sciences for each year of the required experience up to a maximum substitution of two years of the general experience requirement (no substitution for the consultive, advanced professional, administrative, or supervisory experience) shall be considered as qualifying.
  • Professional-level experience exemplified by responsibility for assessment and diagnosis of client problems and needs, developing a plan of treatment, evaluating client progress toward meeting treatment goals, modifying treatment objectives.
  • Four or more years of post high school educational training in one of the behavioral, social, or health sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the operation of an interdisciplinary team of supervisory, direct support, and professional staff in caring for 52 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in four ICF/IID homes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the operation of interdisciplinary team members within the Vocational Department/Leisure Department in supporting 98 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who reside at Woodward Resource Center.
  • Serve as a member of the Management Team in directing and implementing the future and vision of the facility.
  • Serve as Administrator on duty for a week at a time on a rotation basis with other members of Management Team.
