About The Position

The Treasury Management-Product Manager Lead will be responsible for managing a team of treasury management product managers and support associates within your assigned vertical (Receivables, Payables, Digital, Card, Billing and Deposit Acquisition). You will play a key role in developing the people on your team, creating an environment that helps them succeed, and improving the effectiveness of the product management function. The role will focus on four key areas: People management, processes and tools, business strategy and organizational development, and client adoption. You will provide leadership and subject matter expertise on strategic projects related to Treasury Management services across the verticals by collaboration and close alignment of other Team Leaders. Your team will be responsible for documentation, training, launch, pricing, compliance, audit and mitigation of risk associated with each solution delivered. Close alignment with key stakeholder associated with implementation and roll-out process for new business products and product enhancements, including agreements, implementation documents, and standards is required.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent).
  • 10+ Years of banking experience which includes experience leading treasury management sales and customer service teams.
  • Extensive experience in cSuite level Client Calling.
  • Experience managing in high growth, dynamic organizational environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including experience managing remote sales and service staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detailed wholesale receivables/payables solutions expertise.
  • Highly effective organizational and project management skills, strong attention-to-detail, independent, self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.
  • Direct involvement and/or Voice with Receivables Networks, such as: NACHA, The Clearing House (TCH), AFP, external vendors, etc.
  • Ability to foster internal and external collaborative partnerships that deliver value for customers, partners and the organization.
  • Demonstrated continued growth of knowledge on understanding of treasury management products and services.
  • Expertise related to business cash flows, accounting processes and financial optimization.
  • Expertise in value propositions related to treasury management applications within a corporate treasury environment.
  • Expertise of both business and banking regulations such as UCC, Reg CC, Reg E and regulatory guidance/oversight.
  • Developed sales/negotiation aptitude and the ability to tactfully communicate at a senior executive level.
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources to resolve a service challenge or develop a solution.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.

  • Certified Treasury Professional CTP and/or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a catalyst, educator and cheerleader for the Product Team.
  • Lead project teams in the design, development, and management of Treasury Management products and services.
  • Lead Strategic initiatives to fulfil competitive needs.
  • Work with the IT team to onboard vendor updates as well as define needs from early conceptual definition to design and development, through launch and adoption.
  • Launch new products and features, test their performance and iterate quickly. This includes review, selection and management of vendor relationships in conjunction with IT and Operations.
  • Analysis, process mapping, data analysis and user interviews to define flows, pain points and needs.
  • Capture/document user stories and requirements for development resources.
  • Capture/document front-end requirements for UX Design resources.
  • Own objective and scope definition and agreement across end-users.
  • Manage the P&L associated with the product vertical; pricing solutions considering costs (development, operating, vendor and competitive environment) to potential revenue.
  • UAT / Testing – Manage the UAT of new features, ensuring adequate test criteria and end-user expectations are met.
  • Planning - Track and escalate project milestones, dependencies and risks to all audiences, incl. senior stakeholders.
  • Own communication of project progress and completion within the organization.
  • Manage conversations with external vendors for delivery of functionality / testing / connectivity.
  • Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources working across project(s) based on scope of work and project goals.
  • Promote teamwork and a collaborative work environment.
  • Collaboration with Sales and Service management and activities of the department; including the development of new non-borrowing treasury management business, expansion of existing business relationships and the servicing of clients.
  • Revenue/sales generation of Treasury Management product solutions in conjunction with the relationship coverage team.
  • Partner closely with relationship coverage team to drive effort to expand existing business with current clients and proactively identify and align target prospective clients to expand relationships.
  • Make recommendations by understanding the unique challenges and requirements in the industry/client segment and partner with internal stakeholders in the development, implementation and delivery of complex products and solutions.
  • Build trusted, long-term business relationships by taking a holistic and forward-looking view on our relationships, and identifying ways to help clients achieve their most important business/treasury objectives.
  • Engage clients at strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions within a consultative and client driven framework.
  • Create strategic dialogues around key client-centric issues, incorporating best practices, benchmarking, opportunity quantification and solution positioning.
  • Lead and coordinate Request for Proposals (RFP's) with coverage team.
  • Sales cycle knowledge including sales planning, sales approach, and providing solutions to business customers of all sizes.
  • Monitoring and coaching performance of team members, ensuring that relationships are created and maintained, taking appropriate action to ensure goals are achieved (including sourcing deals personally), while taking corrective actions if goals are not being achieved and leveraging expertise and knowledge to develop an outstanding team.
  • Attracting, developing, and coaching successful Team Leads, Product & Specialists teams.
  • Responsible for recommendations related to, hiring, training, development, and handling of salary administration, performance reviews, and employee relations issues.
  • Completes all required compliance training.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar’s internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations.
  • Works in partnership with product/sales management teams to stimulate and generate ideas in the development and enhancement of products/services, including recommendations for and prioritization of the product/service development annual budget and funding justification consistent with our strategic direction.
  • Has foundational knowledge related to compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Completes all required compliance training.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar’s internal compliance/governance policies and procedures.
