Travelling Maintenance Manager
About The Position
Fundamental Administrative Services, LLC is searching for a Travelling Maintenance Manager to work with client skilled nursing centers located across Maryland. This working position will be responsible for ensuring client facilities are in compliance with all policies and procedures surrounding environmental services. Will provide training and development for proper equipment use/record keeping, protective gear, safety precautions as well as documentation requirements. Will tour the facilities regularly, meeting with stakeholders, preparing and communicating scorecards for continuous improvement of operations. Maintains expense/materials management for each location ensuring budget compliance for supplies. Reports, equipment/cleaning product needs and solutions while adhering to all safety precautions at facility. Implements and monitors state-wide cleaning schedule to ensure compliance to all state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- 5+ years of experience in Environmental Services in a leadership/supervisory position, multi-site experience is highly preferred
- Long term care facility (SNF) experience required
- Must be able to work as scheduled and on time with limited supervision
- Must possess positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations (CMS)
- Must be able and willing to travel extensively via personal automobile – overnight travel will be required

Responsibilities
- Assisting with renovations, roof replacements, and HVAC upgrades across multiple sites.
- Supporting Maintenance Directors and ensuring individual buildings stay within financial projections.
- Assist in negotiating regional contracts to support Facilities.
- Ensuring every building is "always ready" for state and federal (CMS) inspections.
- Monitoring strict adherence to fire codes, smoke barrier integrity, and emergency exit lighting and overall Life Safety K Tags.
- Developing and testing disaster recovery plans, including backup generator reliability and evacuation logistics.
- Implementing standardized PM across the region to track the lifespan of facility equipment, boilers, chillers, and kitchen equipment.
- Conducting regular physical inspections of buildings and grounds to identify deferred maintenance.
- Recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring local Maintenance Directors.
- Educating staff on new building technologies, energy-saving initiatives, and safety protocols.
- Investigating workplace accidents or facility failures and implementing corrective action plans.
