About The Position
FairWind is seeking experienced Siemens Gamesa technicians to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair wind turbines at sites across North and Latin America. This role involves working on advanced renewable energy equipment, resolving complex technical issues, and contributing to a dynamic and expanding team. The position requires extensive travel with extended periods on-site, and a company vehicle will be provided for work travel and approved for personal use.
Requirements
- 2+ years wind turbine technician experience
- Valid GWO certification
- Siemens Gamesa green profile or platform training
- First Aid, CPR, AED, OSHA 10 certifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Able to climb turbines and work at heights
- Willing to travel extensively
Nice To Haves
- Experience with F9, F6, F3, or F2 SGRE Platforms
- Additional manufacturer certifications
- Spanish language skills
- Leadership or training experience
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on SG turbines
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections
- Participate in installations and major component replacements
- Work safely at heights up to 300+ feet
- Document work and maintain company equipment
