About The Position

Loberg Construction, a family-owned commercial general contractor since 1972, is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to supervise field construction projects across the USA. The role ensures projects are completed on schedule and to high-quality standards, meeting or exceeding client expectations. The Superintendent will oversee all trades and daily activities, coordinating effectively with design professionals, consultants, and clients. This position involves directing subcontractors and construction personnel to ensure safe and efficient project execution, adhering strictly to the contract, budget, and schedule. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years (preferably 10 years) of project supervision experience in commercial, restaurant, retail, healthcare and/or industrial construction environments
  • Extensive knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and safety procedures
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Procore

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the field construction of projects, ensuring completion within schedule and to quality standards.
  • Overseeing all trades and daily project activities.
  • Ensuring effective communication and coordination with design professionals, consultants, and clients.
  • Directing all subcontractors and construction personnel to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Adhering to the contract, budget, and schedule.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Executing project start-up tasks.
  • Developing a comprehensive plan from inception to completion, including coordinating construction activities for scheduling.
  • Advising the Project Manager of any significant impacts on the project schedule.
  • Working with the Project Team to monitor job progress and costs, including Time and Material work.
  • Ensuring daily job site progress reports are completed accurately along with daily progress photos.
  • Verifying the accuracy of drawing plan measurements of floors, walls, ceilings, etc.
  • Identifying discrepancies and taking corrective action with the project team.
  • Establishing effective working relationships with the Owner, Owner’s Rep, Building Manager, Building Engineer, foremen, and subcontractors.
  • Chairing weekly project construction meetings to discuss project progress and weekly work plans with subcontractors.
  • Meeting daily with subcontractors to ensure alignment on schedule and tasks.
  • Ensuring that the site is clean, organized, and meets all safety standards.
  • Continually enforcing safety policies and procedures, including PPE and fall enforcement.
  • Actively enforcing building regulations related to noise, elevator use, security, and tenant safety.
  • Maintaining construction barriers (for security, construction, dust, etc.).
