About The Position

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a highly skilled Superintendent with 5–15+ years of experience managing complex construction projects, particularly those involving advanced technology or manufacturing facilities. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record overseeing projects that require extensive MEP coordination, equipment installation, process piping systems and/or cleanroom environments. This is a long-term career opportunity for a hard-working leader committed to safety and superior quality, who is also fanatical about creating and managing the construction schedule.

Requirements

  • 5-15+ years of construction experience.
  • At least 5 years as an Assistant Superintendent or Lead Superintendent on advanced manufacturing or mission critical projects.
  • Previous experience leading MEP trades on data center, battery storage, or manufacturing facility projects.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.
  • Possess and maintain a current, valid driver license.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job: standing/walking for long periods (sometimes on uneven terrain), bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

  • Attend post-award review meetings for project preplanning.
  • Participate in preparing construction schedules, organization structure, staff selection, and manpower/equipment requirements.
  • Direct and control construction projects to meet specifications, stay within schedule, and achieve profit goals.
  • Assist project managers/engineers with material shipment, equipment procurement, and shop drawing approvals.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities for effective integration with project schedules.
  • Inform supervisors and subcontractors of construction schedule changes.
  • Assist in preparing job progress and cost reports.
  • Review and approve requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other significant reports.
  • Cooperate with owners and their representatives, keeping them informed of progress.
  • Cooperate with architects or owner representatives.
  • Hold job site meetings with the project manager and regional manager.
  • Report regularly to the project manager on job progress, plans, and potential cost/schedule impacts.
  • Maintain a daily diary of significant project facts, events, conditions, visitors, owner contacts, commitments, agreements, and approvals.
  • Direct adherence to the company’s safety program.
  • Make decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Organize people, tools, and equipment, and plan/manage multiple activities.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, facing challenges, directing others, and addressing conflict.
  • Exhibit commitment to quality by evaluating and improving processes, using customer input, and meeting/exceeding expectations.
  • Act with integrity, supporting the company, its values, and employees, while focusing on customer requirements.
