Joining APT means being part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence in everything we do. We are looking to add a Stainless Steel Welder to our team. Working a flexible schedule in a clean, climate-controlled shop with a team environment, you can expect to build custom designs using both TIG and MIG processes. This position requires 100% travel to our Cokato, MN Headquarters. Typical travel rotation is 9 days on, including travel days, followed by 5 days off. All welding new hires will participate in APT’s Welding Training Program to gain a thorough understanding of APT’s welding standards and practices. This training will ensure you are fully prepared for success by familiarizing you with APT’s high standards for quality and safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • TIG & MIG welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years’ experience as a welder
  • Experience with sanitary equipment fabrication
  • One or two year welding diploma from technical college or relevant welding experience
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards in the welding industry

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings
  • Read measurements to weld assemblies using a variety of measuring devices
  • Assemble components using a variety of powered and hand tools
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment to perform high quality welds
  • Operate a variety of grinders to prepare, clean and finish welds
  • Meet daily production goals based on schedule to ensure on-time, high quality project completion
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
  • Perform Service Trips to local customer sites
