About The Position

McCorvey Sheet Metal, a family-owned manufacturing & construction company, is seeking highly qualified skilled sheet metal ductwork welders and installers to join their team. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth. The company primarily works on large-scale projects including hospitals, research labs, sports stadiums, and schools. The role requires a willingness to travel.

Requirements

5+ years of sheet metal ductwork welding and installing experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Must pass drug screen, background, and physical.
Basic math skills.
Provide your own welding hood and sheet metal ductwork tools.

Responsibilities

Weld galvanized, aluminum, black iron, 304 and 316 stainless steel with TIG & MIG procedures.
Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal ductwork.
Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearance.
Install assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ductwork, exhaust stacks, etc.
Ensure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating and installing HVAC systems.
Verify the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications.
Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and installing and welding ductwork.
