Traveling Resource Registered Nurse

About The Position
This is a travel-first role for a hospice RN who goes where the need is, covering staffing gaps, leadership vacancies, or census surges. The role offers variety and autonomy, with no two weeks being the same. The nurse will move between locations, providing direct patient care, educating and mentoring clinicians, and temporarily stepping into clinical leadership roles to ensure site stability and compliance.
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of hospice experience
- Hospice heart and strong clinical judgment
- Current RN licensure (multi-state preferred)
- Comfort with travel up to 90% of the time
- Valid driver's license and insured transportation
Responsibilities
- Travel ~90% of the time between locations experiencing staffing gaps, leadership vacancies, or census surges
- Provide direct patient care: admissions, visits, complex symptom management, case management
- Educate, mentor, and onboard clinicians and new leaders on-site
- Step into clinical leadership/DCS duties temporarily to keep a site compliant and stable
- Participate in IDG meetings, audits, and quality initiatives wherever you're deployed
