About The Position

This is a travel-first role for a hospice RN who goes where the need is, covering staffing gaps, leadership vacancies, or census surges. The role offers variety and autonomy, with no two weeks the same. The nurse will move between locations, providing direct patient care, educating and mentoring staff, stepping into temporary clinical leadership roles, and participating in IDG meetings, audits, and quality initiatives.

Requirements

2–3+ years of hospice experience
Hospice heart and strong clinical judgment
Current RN licensure (multi-state preferred)
Comfort with travel up to 90% of the time
Valid driver's license and insured transportation

Responsibilities

Travel ~90% of the time between locations experiencing staffing gaps, leadership vacancies, or census surges
Provide direct patient care: admissions, visits, complex symptom management, case management
Educate, mentor, and onboard clinicians and new leaders on-site
Step into clinical leadership/DCS duties temporarily to keep a site compliant and stable
Participate in IDG meetings, audits, and quality initiatives wherever you're deployed
