About The Position

The Walsh Group is seeking a Traveling Project Manager for its Building Division in Kansas City, Kansas. The role provides leadership across project controls, including costs, planning, scheduling, engineering, supervision, and personnel management. The Project Manager is responsible for project startup through completion and closeout, managing contractual matters, maintaining customer relationships, forecasting completion costs, and supporting project-team development. The position also oversees quality assurance and quality control, reviews schedules and financial projections, ensures site rules and procedures are followed, and coordinates with the Safety Manager to meet project safety goals. Specific roles may require relocation.

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience.
Experience managing construction teams.
Success in client relationships.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for project controls, including costs, planning, scheduling, engineering, supervision, and personnel management.
Manage project startup, completion, and the entire closeout process.
Develop strategies for personnel development and recruiting.
Manage contractual issues.
Establish and maintain customer relationships.
Accurately forecast costs for job completion.
Provide leadership and development to the project team.
Make final decisions on the resolution of problems.
Develop and oversee quality assurance and quality control plans.
Identify issues to the Program Manager as required to ensure project success.
Review and approve preliminary schedules, financial projections, and cost-to-complete estimates.
Ensure construction site rules and procedures are implemented and followed.
Coordinate with the Safety Manager to ensure projects are completed in accordance with safety goals.
