About The Position

Cranial Technologies is the world leader in researching and treating plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome) and is dedicated to pediatric cranial shaping orthoses. They also provide treatment with EarWell® to correct infant ear shapes without surgery. This is a full-time, nationwide traveling Physical Therapist position based out of Chicago, IL, offering the opportunity to practice in various Cranial Technologies locations across the United States. The role is in a pediatric clinical outpatient setting, exclusively working with infants. This is a unique opportunity to treat patients in a child-friendly, state-of-the-art clinic, specializing in a non-traditional, niche area. The position involves traveling every week to different clinics, working with new teammates and families, and taking over existing caseloads. Travel is typically Monday afternoon/evening, with work Tuesday-Friday, and return home Friday afternoon/evening, ensuring weekends are spent at home. Travel assignments are provided at least two weeks in advance. Cranial Technologies covers all travel expenses and provides a per diem for time spent traveling.

Requirements

  • Licensed PT
  • 500 hours of basic orthotic fitting experience with off-the-shelf orthotic devices (e.g., splints, braces, maternity belts).
  • State-issued REAL ID compliant license or equivalent TSA accepted travel documentation required by start date.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

Nice To Haves

  • Background in pediatrics is preferred, but not necessary due to a formal training program with mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band® and correct ear shapes with EarWell®.
  • Serve as an expert in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and conditions involving misshapen ears.
  • Develop strong relationships with families throughout the treatment process.
  • Adapt to fast-paced and new settings, potentially working in different clinics each week.
  • Build relationships with new teammates across the company.
