About The Position

Dubak Electrical Group is seeking an experienced Traveling Industrial Electrical Foreman to manage on-site construction projects and field personnel. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards, while adhering to operating procedures. The Foreman will lead teams of apprentices and journeymen electricians in planning, installing, and repairing electrical systems and control equipment to maximize productivity. This position requires interaction with owners, clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate has industrial environment experience and a strong understanding of electrical techniques, conflict resolution, and safety protocols. Responsibilities include coordinating civil, mechanical, and electrical installations, providing technical assistance, and training team members. The role demands the ability to read and interpret drawings, maps, and instructions, and requires excellent communication skills to manage client relationships and project execution.

Responsibilities

• On-site management of assigned construction projects and field personnel.
• Ensure scheduled completion of the project within the established budget, time, and quality standards.
• Lead teams of apprentices and/or journeymen electricians.
• Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
• Maximize productivity through effective team leadership and work practices.
• Establish performance goals and review project documents, plans, and specifications.
• Apply effective and quality electrical techniques.
• Resolve conflicts related to construction and personnel concerns.
• Promote a positive team work environment.
• Maintain safe work practices in accordance with OSHA, Dubak Electrical, and Client Site Specific Safety Standards.
• Conduct a Daily Safety Huddle.
• Assure the safety of all Dubak Electrical Employees on the project.
• Demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
• Coordinate installation methods of civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
• Provide technical assistance to colleagues or co-workers.
• Recommend construction methods, routing, and equipment.
• Plan, schedule, and organize tasks in an efficient manner to meet deadlines.
• Direct and train helpers and apprentices in proper work practices.
• Determine project scopes by reading and reviewing drawings.
• Read and understand labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals, and written instructions accurately.
• Coordinate field installations and project close-outs.
• Develop and maintain customer/client relationships.
• Manage a team of electrical journeymen and apprentices on assigned projects.
• Oversee or participate in wire installation with conduit and cable trays.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
• Accurately bend and install all types of conduit, understanding the use of degrees in bending conduit.
• Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
• Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads.
• Demonstrate knowledge of proper circuit grounding practices, transformer connections, over-current protection, parallel circuits, fuse/circuit breakers, motors, cable trays, and their supports.
• Splice wires by stripping insulation, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
• Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
• Perform work at various heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, roofs, or other safe work areas.
