About The Position

Dubak Electrical Group is seeking an experienced Traveling Industrial Electrical Foreman to manage assigned construction projects and field personnel. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards, while adhering to safety procedures. The Foreman will lead a team of apprentices and/or journeymen electricians, planning and executing electrical installations and repairs for wiring, fixtures, and control equipment to maximize productivity. This position involves extensive travel across the United States and requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety.

Requirements

• Experience as an Industrial Electrical Foreman.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• High regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others.
• Perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
• Willing to travel to client projects throughout the United States on a regular basis.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Experience with the primary job duties listed in this description.
• Experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to determine project scopes by reading and reviewing drawings.
• Reads and understands labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals, and written instructions accurately.
• Demonstrates knowledge of proper circuit grounding practices, transformer connections, over-current protection, parallel circuits, fuse/circuit breakers, motors, cable trays and their supports.
• Able to accurately bend and install all types of conduit.
• Understands use of degrees in bending conduit (i.e. concentric bending).

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrical Foreman.
• High school or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• On-site management of assigned construction projects and field personnel.
• Ensure scheduled completion of the project within the established budget, time, and quality standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Lead a team of up to three (3) apprentices and/or up to ten (10) Journeyman Electricians.
• Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
• Maximize productivity.
• Review project documents, plans, and specifications to effectively direct construction activities.
• Apply effective and quality electrical techniques to maximize performance.
• Resolve conflicts related to construction of the project as well as personnel concerns.
• Promote a positive team work environment.
• Maintain safe work practices in accordance with OSHA, Dubak Electrical, and Client Site Specific Safety Standards.
• Conduct a Daily Safety Huddle.
• Assure the Safety of ALL Dubak Electrical Employees on the project.
• Demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
• Understand and coordinate installation methods of civil, mechanical, and electrical works to prevent physical interference.
• Provide technical assistance to colleagues or co-workers (i.e., interpretation of drawings).
• Recommend construction methods, routing, and equipment as challenges present themselves.
• Plan, schedule, and organize tasks in an efficient manner to meet deadlines.
• Direct and train helpers and apprentices in proper work practices to meet production requirements.
• Determine project scopes by reading and reviewing drawings.
• Read and understand labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals, and written instructions accurately.
• Coordinate field installations and project close-outs.
• Develop and maintain customer/client relationships.
• Oversee or participate in wire installation with conduit and cable trays.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
• Accurately bend and install all types of conduit, understanding the use of degrees in bending conduit.
• Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
• Connect power cables to equipment, such as electric apparatus or motors, and install grounding leads.
• Demonstrate knowledge of proper circuit grounding practices, transformer connections, over-current protection, parallel circuits, fuse/circuit breakers, motors, cable trays, and their supports.
• Splice wires by stripping insulation, twisting or soldering wires, and applying tape or terminal caps.
• Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments.
• Perform work at various heights, up to 90 feet, from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, roofs, or other safe work areas.
• Manage a craft labor team effectively and ensure a good team working environment.
• Lead by example.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with the client.
