About The Position

Blue Cardinal is looking for a Traveling General Manager to step into key markets, stabilize operations, and help drive performance across their HVAC and plumbing businesses. This is a 3-month contract role with the potential to convert into a full-time GM position based on performance. This role is built for someone who knows how to walk into a business, assess what’s working (and what’s not), and lead teams to better results quickly.

Requirements

• MUST have experience leading both HVAC and plumbing operations
• Proven experience as a General Manager or Operations Leader in home services
• Strong understanding of P&L, KPIs, and performance metrics
• Experience turning around or improving underperforming teams or branches
• Ability to step into new environments and quickly build trust and alignment
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
• Willingness to travel as required

Responsibilities

• Step into underperforming or transitioning branches and stabilize operations
• Lead HVAC and plumbing teams with clear expectations and accountability
• Review P&L, manpower, and key KPIs to identify gaps and opportunities
• Drive revenue, improve margins, and increase overall performance
• Mentor and develop local leadership and field teams
• Implement structure, processes, and best practices across locations
• Partner with leadership on growth strategy and execution
• Travel to Blue Cardinal locations as needed
