About The Position

Fiorilli Construction, Inc. is hiring a full-time Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects at different job sites. The position involves traveling to project locations and spending most of the time supervising construction crews. Work schedules and project timelines are determined by each project's needs. The superintendent supervises and sometimes performs construction activities, manages subcontractors and vendors, maintains schedules and budgets, orders materials, prepares reports, enforces safety standards, oversees quality, and leads punch-list and project closeout work. The role also involves working with Project Managers to control job costs and maintaining positive working relationships with project teams and subcontractors.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in a large-scale professional commercial construction environment.
Strong accountability and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships.
Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise and occasionally self-perform construction activities at job sites.
Resolve issues quickly, maintain team alignment, and build positive relationships.
Direct subcontractors and vendors to keep work on schedule.
Update project schedules, order materials, prepare reports, and perform hands-on tasks as needed.
Monitor field activity against budgets, inspect work, manage change requests, and collaborate with Project Managers to control job costs.
Enforce jobsite safety standards, lead safety meetings, and ensure subcontractor compliance.
Maintain clean, organized job sites that meet quality expectations.
Lead the punch-list process through final completion, communicate expectations to subcontractors, and evaluate their performance.
