About The Position

Midwest Concrete Constructors (MCC) is seeking a Traveling Concrete Foreman to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to manage concrete construction and associated administrative activities for field operations from day one, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications. MCC is a full-service concrete contractor partnered with the ARCO Family of Companies, providing turnkey concrete solutions for projects ranging from small renovations to over 1 million square feet across the country.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience as a working Concrete Foreman on tilt-up construction projects of a minimum of 100k sq ft.
  • Willing to travel throughout the United States.
  • Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate manpower is provided to meet construction schedules.
  • Analyze and assist the general superintendent in determining construction equipment requirements, providing necessary equipment for efficient manpower utilization and releasing it when not required.
  • Determine job requirement quantities for each phase of work.
  • Direct and supervise the activities of carpenters, cement finishers, iron workers, and laborers.
  • Inform all supervisors promptly of any construction schedule changes.
  • Review and assist the project manager in the approval of all requisitions and other significant reports and documents.
  • Report regularly to the project manager to keep them informed on job progress, plans, and potential cost or schedule impacts.
  • Cooperate with the general contractor and representatives, keeping them informed of construction progress.
  • Maintain a daily diary to record significant project facts, events, conditions, visitors, owner representative contacts, commitments, agreements, and approvals.
  • Direct adherence to the company's safety program in all phases and areas of the project.
  • Become familiar with and adhere strictly to all company policies, and require all employees to be aware of and conform to them.
  • Act with integrity, supporting the company, its values, and employees, while focusing on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
  • Carry out any additional assigned responsibilities.
