As a Travel Specialist, you will execute the program’s plan, processes, and activities for contract travel on behalf of the government. You’ll coordinate travel activities with program leaders, initiating quality, security, risk, and cost controls to maximize compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). You’ll support a Program Management Office's geographically dispersed team with significant CONUS and OCONUS travel requirements. You’ll work with program leadership, project leads, and a team of travelers to support overall travel requirements, including Travel Authorization Requests (TARs), Trip Reports (TRs), travel expense reporting, and overall quality management. You’ll also train, mentor, and advise program personnel on travel processes, activities, and business rules, providing resources such as standard operating procedures and training guides.
