Travel SLP – Acute Care | $2300 weekly
About The Position
This is a travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position in acute care, located in Canton, Georgia. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. The shift is typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a requirement of working a minimum of 2 weekends per 4 weeks, and a preference for 4 weekends per 4 weeks. A stipend package is available to help maximize take-home pay. The role involves working with a diverse patient population including ICU patients, those with stroke/neurological conditions, dysphagia, respiratory compromise, cognitive-communication disorders, and general medical & surgical cases.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of SLP experience.
- Must not be a local candidate within 50 miles of Canton, Georgia.
Nice To Haves
- Prior acute care experience.
- Experience with MBS (Modified Barium Swallow Studies).
- Experience with FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing).
Responsibilities
- Provide Speech-Language Pathology services in an acute care setting.
- Work with ICU patients.
- Treat patients with stroke/neurological conditions.
- Manage patients with dysphagia (swallowing disorders).
- Assist patients with respiratory compromise.
- Address cognitive-communication disorders.
- Provide care for general medical & surgical cases.
