About The Position

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides services across inpatient hospital, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient care areas based on patient volume and caseload. The role is based in Utica, New York, in an acute care hospital, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient setting. Local and travel candidates are accepted, subject to the stated 75-mile radius and local-rate policies. Weekend rotation may be required based on staffing needs.

This is a 13-week contract with day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, consisting of 8-hour shifts. Pay is listed as $2,000 to $2,322 gross per week, with a blended hourly rate of $55 to $58. Weekly taxable pay is $1,132 and the weekly non-taxable stipend is $1,568.

Requirements

• Active New York Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Current BLS certification.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year.
• Experience performing bedside swallowing evaluations.
• Comfort providing speech-language pathology services across multiple levels of care.
• Travel candidates must meet the 75-mile radius requirement; candidates within 75 miles are subject to the local-rate policy.
• Flexibility to cover inpatient hospital, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient clinic areas based on patient volume.

Nice To Haves

• Previous inpatient acute care hospital experience.
• Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Study (VFSS) experience.
• Experience across acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings.
