About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. FirstChoice Registered Nurses fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, including regional and nationwide opportunities. This position is for the Operating Room specialty at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center in Iowa. The assignment is 13 weeks, starts ASAP, and is scheduled for three 12-hour day shifts per week. The listed gross weekly rate is $2,760. Schedules can range from 36 to 40 hours.

FirstChoice nurses may be required to float throughout a hospital, multiple hospital locations, or regions. They apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice, act independently within their license and experience, remain accountable for their delegations and decisions, collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes, and adapt to new responsibilities, ideas, cultural differences, and competing priorities.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
• At least two years of recent clinical experience for specialties other than Med Surg, Tele, and PCU, including Surgical Services.
• Maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify outcomes and solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate care in accordance with professional practice standards.
• Act independently and appropriately within the scope of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
• Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
• Adapt to new and additional responsibilities and manage competing priorities.
• Embrace new ideas and cultural differences.
