About The Position

FirstChoice, Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, employs Registered Nurses for short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system. This Behavioral Health position is based at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa, and is a 13-week assignment. Nurses may be assigned to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations or regions. Nationwide and regional opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
• At least two years of recent clinical experience for Behavioral Health.
• Maintain credentials required for the specialty area; BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
• Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Practice independently and appropriately within licensure, scope of knowledge, and experience.
• Maintain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
• Adapt to new and additional responsibilities.
• Embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.
