About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, providing travel and per diem nursing assignments throughout the health system. FirstChoice registered nurses fill short- and long-term assignments, including positions across local regions and nationwide. Nurses may work in a variety of practice settings and must be willing to float across hospital departments, locations, or regions. The role calls for independent practice within the nurse’s license, scope of knowledge, and experience, while maintaining accountability for delegation, decisions, and outcomes. The position is part-time and works a 12-hour day shift.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state or states of practice or employment.
For Med Surg, Tele, and PCU specialties, have at least 18 months of recent clinical experience.
For all other listed specialties—including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health—have at least two years of recent clinical experience.
Obtain and maintain the credentials required for the specialty area.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained through the American Heart Association.
