About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, placing Registered Nurses in short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system. This Med Surg Tele travel position is based at MercyOne New Hampton Medical Center in Iowa, with nationwide and regional opportunities also available. The assignment is 13 weeks, with a flexible start date, three 12-hour night shifts per week, and a gross weekly rate of $2,556. Nurses may be required to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations or regions.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
At least 18 months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele, and PCU specialties.
Maintain the credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Act independently and appropriately within the scope of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
Maintain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
