About The Position

FirstChoice, Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, employs Registered Nurses for short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system. This Med Surg Tele RN role is based at MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center in Iowa and involves a 13-week assignment with a flexible start date. The position offers regional and nationwide opportunities, and nurses may work across hospital units, locations, or regions as needed. The role requires professional nursing practice within the nurse’s license, knowledge, experience, and specialty. The RN collaborates with stakeholders, contributes to quality and improvement practices, manages competing priorities, and adapts to new responsibilities and cultural differences. The listed schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week. The gross weekly rate is $2,556.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state or states of practice or employment.
Have at least 18 months of recent clinical experience in Med Surg, Tele, or PCU.
Maintain the credentials required for the applicable specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Act independently and appropriately within the scope of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
