About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's 10K Stepdown Unit is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for a temporary full-time, 14-week assignment. This role will work on a beautiful, brand new 24-bed Medicine unit featuring new computers, charting stations with patient visualization, and blood pressure machines that integrate with EPIC for real-time documentation. The patient population includes cardiac, cardiac prep, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, OR-prep, and diverse wound care.

Requirements

Associates, Bachelors, or Masters degree in Nursing, or diploma in Nursing.
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
ACLS certification.
NIH Stroke Scale certification.
Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients in a Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit.
Manage a diverse patient population including cardiac, renal failure, sepsis, and wound care.
Utilize new technology for patient monitoring and documentation, including real-time documentation with EPIC.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
