About The Position

This is a temporary travel opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Short Stay unit, located in Los Angeles, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, beginning on 09/14/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The role involves providing coordinated nursing care, supervising staff, participating in discharge planning, and maintaining a safe environment within a home healthcare - hospice setting. The shift is typically daytime, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime. This position is facilitated by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) required
  • CPR or BLS certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per policy required
  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) required
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required per policy
  • At least two years of recent nursing experience in the field
  • Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • Spanish speaking is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients using established standards and the nursing process
  • Supervise and direct activities of varying levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
  • Collect relevant data, perform assessment, formulate a care plan, implement interventions, and evaluate progress
  • Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care and safe transitions
  • Delegate appropriately, coordinate duties of the healthcare team, and provide education to patients, families, and team members
  • Maintain a safe, healing, and respectful environment; communicate clearly with the patient, family, and treatment team
