About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate and experienced nurses to join their team in the Short Stay Unit. This unit, a newly renovated 25-private room Cardiac Medical Observation Unit (CMO), focuses on providing high-quality care to observation and medical-level patients, with a specialization in cardiac pre and post-procedure care. Requirements

Associates of Nursing (ASN) required.
Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support certification through the AHA required.
Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
ACLS certification

Responsibilities

Provide the highest quality of care to Observation and Medical level patients during their brief stay.
Specialize in the care of Cardiac patients pre and post procedure.
Develop clinical expertise and critical thinking skills.
Utilize multi-tasking and time management skills.
Act as a patient and family advocate.
Perform Post Cath Lab care.
Maintain Cardiac Dynamics.
