About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. Travel Registered Nurses fill short- and long-term assignments across the health system, with nationwide and regional opportunities. Nurses may work in a variety of practice settings and must be willing to float throughout a hospital, multiple hospital locations, or regions. The RN applies the standard elements of professional nursing practice, works independently within their license and scope of knowledge and experience, and remains accountable for delegation, decisions, and outcomes. The role collaborates with stakeholders on quality and improvement practices, adapts to new responsibilities and ideas, and manages competing priorities while respecting cultural differences.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state or states of practice or employment.
Have at least two years of recent clinical experience for specialties other than Med Surg, Tele, and PCU, including Surgical Services.
Maintain the credentials required for the specialty area; BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Be willing and qualified to float throughout a hospital and/or multiple hospital locations or regions.
Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Act independently and appropriately within the limits of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.
