About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, placing registered nurses in short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system. This role is based at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa, and is a 13-week assignment with a day shift schedule of five 8-hour shifts. Nationwide and regional opportunities are available. The position offers a gross weekly rate of $3,320. The nurse may be required to float throughout the hospital, multiple hospital locations, or regions. They apply professional nursing practice, act within their license and scope of knowledge and experience, retain accountability for delegation and decisions, collaborate with stakeholders to support quality improvement, and adapt to new responsibilities and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state or states of practice or employment.
Maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
For Med Surg, Tele, and PCU: at least 18 months of recent clinical experience.
For all remaining specialties, including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health: at least two years of recent clinical experience.
