About The Position

The clinical nurse functions in a multifaceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in nursing practice. The nurse maintains high standards for a caseload of patients within the scope of care for the area of practice and takes appropriate action based on scientific research and evidence-based principles. The nurse also coordinates and directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team and is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The role provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly or indirectly affects outcomes and care for patients, families, and significant others.

This is a full-time position in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Miami Valley Hospital, scheduled 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 80 hours per pay period, with on-call duty.

Requirements

• Valid Ohio Registered Nurse license.
• Current AHA BLS certification upon hire.
• ACLS certification within 90 days.
• At least 1 year of acute care hospital RN experience.
• A BSN, or enrollment in an accredited BSN program within 6 months of entering the position and completion of the BSN within 5 years of entering the position.

• Experience in cardiac care is preferred.
