About The Position

The unit has three Cath Labs where physicians perform minimally invasive tests and procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease. As a nurse in this department you will assist the cardiovascular team throughout the procedure from prep through recovery. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
Minimum of one year of Cath Lab RN experience required
Ability to take call and arrive to the hospital within 30 minutes

Responsibilities

May be required to travel to other Advocate sites for orientation purposes.
