About The Position
The Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab provides high-quality care to patients undergoing procedures within the cardiology department. The role requires a thorough understanding of cardiac procedures and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The RN provides direct patient care in the Cath Lab, prepares patients for procedures, assists with cardiology diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, monitors vital signs, and collaborates with the healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes. The RN also educates patients about procedures and aftercare. The schedule is 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional shifts extending until 6:30 PM. The RN works every other weekend and participates in holiday rotations according to hospital policy.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab or similar setting.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Cath Lab setting.
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort throughout the process.
- Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiology.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
