About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Travel RN – Medical/Surgical to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The RN will be responsible for managing a variety of patient conditions, delivering bedside care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Active RN License (State of New York or Compact)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA required
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accordingly
- Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care
- Monitor patient vital signs and recognize changes in condition
- Operate and adjust medical equipment as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge processes
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and recovery plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Adhere to established nursing standards, safety protocols, and best practices
