About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical to join a high-acuity surgical trauma unit. This role requires strong clinical expertise in managing complex patient cases within a fast-paced hospital environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical or related specialty
- Current BLS certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
- Must be flexible to work assigned shifts
- No block scheduling available
- No RTO (Requested Time Off not permitted during assignment)
Nice To Haves
- ACLS preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care on a high-acuity Medical/Surgical Trauma unit
- Manage complex patient population including spinal, neuro, trauma surgical cases, gunshot injuries, quadriplegic and paraplegic patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Perform thorough nursing assessments, care planning, and documentation in EPIC EMR
- Participate in structured handoffs with ED and admitting units
