About The Position

The Registered Nurse – MS/Tele provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry unit. This role requires strong clinical judgment, telemetry monitoring expertise, and the ability to respond effectively to cardiac and medical emergencies.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing with cardiac monitoring experience.
• Experience with interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Experience with oxygen therapy including nasal cannula, oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway support.
• Experience with IV therapy and peripheral line care/management.
• Experience with phlebotomy and specimen handling.
• Experience with isolation precautions and infection prevention practices.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.

• First-time travelers accepted.
• RNs must reside more than 75 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry unit.
• Utilize strong clinical judgment.
• Perform telemetry monitoring.
• Respond effectively to cardiac and medical emergencies.
• Participate in emergency response (Rapid Response / Code Team).
• Administer oxygen therapy including nasal cannula, oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway support.
• Perform IV therapy and peripheral line care/management.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen handling.
• Implement isolation precautions and infection prevention practices.
• Float within scope of competency as required.

Benefits

• 13-week contract
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, as needed
• RTO / Special scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of submission
• Client may cancel up to three shifts during a 13-week contract without penalty
