About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking RN CVOR for travel/contract positions in Midland, MI. The position is for a Travel Registered Nurse in the CVOR specialty, located in Midland, Michigan. The role is full-time, travel, contract, and temporary, with a contract length of 13 weeks. The pay rate is $3000 weekly Gross pay based on a 40-hour work week, which includes non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipends for eligible travelers. Shifts are available during the day, with 10-hour timings (6:00a - 4:30p or 6:30a - 5:00p). The schedule guarantees 40 hours/week, with 4 x 10-hr shifts, Monday-Friday. On-call duties include 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend. The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs before and during surgery, maintaining patient safety, outlining and implementing care plans, and documenting care. This role provides leadership to the OR team, supervises operating room activities, anticipates and coordinates schedule changes, assembles equipment and supplies, assists anesthesia, monitors the sterile field, and communicates with patients, families, physicians, the OR team, supervisors/managers, and ancillary departments.

Requirements

  • Reside beyond a 50-mile radius of the facility location.
  • RN CVOR experience: 3+ years
  • Open Heart experience
  • Covid Vaccination
  • ASN
  • RN License for State of MI
  • BLS Certification from AHA

Responsibilities

  • Assessing the needs of each patient before and during a surgical procedure and maintains patient safety.
  • Outlines individual care plans, implements, evaluates and documents care of patient during surgical procedures.
  • Provides leadership to the OR team.
  • Assesses the needs of the surgical patient and develops a plan of care specific for that patient.
  • Implements and evaluates the plan of care during the procedure, and makes necessary adjustments keeping patient safety a priority.
  • Supervises activity in the operating room.
  • Anticipates and coordinates any schedule changes for the room.
  • Assembles equipment and supplies.
  • Assists anesthesia as necessary.
  • Monitors sterile field.
  • Communicates with patient, family, physician, OR team, supervisor/manager, and ancillary departments.
