About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to individuals with mental health needs. The RN will assess patients, develop care plans, monitor behavioral and physical health, and collaborate with the healthcare team. This is a travel assignment located in Centre Hall, PA, with a duration of 13 weeks. The position involves working nights, specifically 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 guaranteed hours. There is a rotation for every other weekend and holiday. Local candidates are accepted.

Requirements

2+ years of recent/current inpatient acute psychiatric nursing experience
Experience with Adult and Adolescent psychiatric patients preferred
Active PA RN license for PA residents
Compact RN license accepted for out-of-state candidates
AHA BLS required
CPI preferred; may be obtained upon offer
Strong communication, assessment, and crisis-management skills

Total RN experience
Inpatient psychiatric RN experience

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate nursing care for psychiatric patients
Float between Adult, Adolescent, and Stabilization units based on department needs
Assess physical and behavioral health needs
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
Perform patient admissions, monitoring, and clinical documentation
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain patient safety and therapeutic care environments
Provide ongoing patient education and support
