About The Position

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse works within the organization’s policies and procedures and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse maintains standards of practice and coordinates patient-care activities of assigned staff to provide quality nursing care.

This position is with Piedmont Augusta Hospital. The posting identifies a night schedule and notes that a sign-on bonus is available.

Requirements

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• Current Georgia Registered Nurse license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• For Cardiac Telemetry, ACLS certification is required within 180 days; nurse residents and nurses new to the specialty may complete applicable certifications within six months of the start date.
• No experience is required; new graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
• One year of hospital-setting experience is required for PRN positions.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Advanced certification in the field of specialty, if applicable.
