About The Position

We are hiring 3 Texas-based Medical Assistants to support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and preventive care in the community. This is a temporary/seasonal, non-exempt W-2 position expected through January 2027, with possible extension. Hours are variable based on patient volume and coverage needs, with no guaranteed weekly minimum. Travel will be throughout Texas, with possible nearby-state travel when needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience
• Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, or credential
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current registration, and active auto insurance
• Comfort working independently in patients’ homes
• Ability to meet vaccination and TB/PPD onboarding requirements
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas with possible nearby-state travel when needed.

Nice To Haves

• Medicare Annual Wellness Visit, home-visit, or preventive-care experience
• Experience with A1Cs, UAs, specimen collection, or similar point-of-care testing
• Well-Child Visit, primary care, community health, or mobile-care experience

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled in-home member visits
• Support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive-care activities
• Take vitals, complete screenings, perform approved point-of-care testing, and document visits
• Follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-control procedures

Benefits

• Mileage is reimbursed at $0.725 per mile between patient visits
• Eligible extended or overnight travel expenses are covered, including transportation, rental cars when needed, hotel, and meals
• Required out-of-state travel time is paid
