Travel Medical Assistant
About The Position
Travel Medical Assistant Take your Medical Assistant experience beyond the clinic and into the community, where your visits help seniors, children, and families stay healthy at home. In this full-time, field-based role, you’ll complete preventive care visits across Kansas, build real patient relationships, and work with the autonomy of a mobile care role—without rushed exam-room turnover or urgent care volume. Opportunity This is a statewide Kansas travel role for a Medical Assistant who wants movement, purpose, and meaningful patient connection. You’ll visit patients in their homes to support preventive care, including Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and Well-Child Visits, while documenting in modern EMR tools. You’ll be a strong fit if you enjoy independence, daytime weekday work, and helping patients address health needs before they become bigger issues.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, such as CMA, RMA, or equivalent background.
- At least 6 months of primary care or internal medicine experience.
- Comfortable traveling daily to patient homes across Kansas.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Motivated by autonomy, variety, and getting out from the same four walls.
- Interested in preventive care and helping patients stay healthier at home.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Medicare Annual Wellness Visits.
- Experience with Well-Child Visits.
- Prior mobile, home-based, community health, or field-based patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Travel to patient homes throughout Kansas to complete scheduled preventive care visits.
- Support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and Well-Child Visits in a home-based setting.
- Focus on prevention, patient education, and relationship-based care rather than urgent care or high-volume clinic flow.
- Help seniors and families feel supported in their own homes.
- Accurately document visits using modern EMR tools.
- Manage a mobile daily routine with reliable travel, clear communication, and consistent patient follow-through.
